Downtown to Big Hat Days Ride Recap
Posted by Anthony Taylor Monday, April 04, 2011
The day was Saturday. The time was 10am. The place: Iron Bird Cafe. Seven adventurous bike riders gathered from the four corners of this fair city to ride to the bizarre Clovis bazaar that is: Big Hat Days.
OK. That’s the dramatic version. Here’s the casual version. On Saturday morning I was lucky enough to hang out with six of my new biking buddies as we traveled the beautiful, 11.3 miles to the I Bike Fresno Valet Bike Parking at Big Hat Days. The ride was great. Van Ness turned into Maroa, right on Princeton, left on First, right on Dakota, left on Chestnut, right on Ashlan and left onto the Fresno-Clovis Rail Trail straight up to Old Town Clovis and the FREE Valet Bike Parking at Pollasky and Fourth.
I couldn’t have asked for better weather or riding companions. Thanks for coming out and I hope to see more of you on the next great leisure ride led by yours truly!
Here's some pics from the trip!
