Here at I Bike Fresno we’re still recovering from the early (and awesome) morning we had with the Kaiser Permanente Bike To Work Day Corporate Challenge.
Bike to Work Day takes place every year during National Bike Month and encourages participants to ditch their cars and ride their bike to work instead. We set up eight energy stations around town. Each of the stations had plenty of healthy goodies like fruits, nuts, electrolyte packets, bars and bagels.
We were excited to have special prizes for riders who logged in for the 31 Days of Prizes from REI and Sunnyside Bicycles.
We’d like to give a big thanks to everyone involved including: Kaiser Permanente, Sunnyside Bicycles and especially KMPH’s Clayton Clark for hanging out with us all morning for during live morning broadcast. The following organizations also deserve major kudos for sponsoring and volunteering at the eight energy stations around Fresno/Clovis:
Fresno County Bicycle Coalition
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District
Waking up at the crack of dawn to set up the energy stations was mighty rough, and we’re thankful for everyone who volunteered and helped us make Bike to Work Day a success! Huzzah!
And remember: There are still a couple of days left in May is Bike Month and the Million Mile Challenge, so make sure to log in those last few miles!
Until next time,
