Return of the New Commuter

And WE’RE BACK!!! It’s been approximately 100 years and what has measured up to be about a thousand of my own biking miles, but I Bike Fresno is back with a pedaling vengeance.
So that means your friendly New Commuter is back too. With all new blogs and content and perspective even. Now that our precious website is fixed we’ll be posting stuff MUCH more regularly. Nothing kills a blogger’s motivation than having his content buried under a billion link clicks. Blech.
I’m not really a new commuter anymore, you know. I’ve been reliably commuting 3-5 days a week for about 7 months now. I’d say I’m an amateur commuter perhaps. I don’t ride in the rain or if the temp is below 45 degrees. I know that seems like an arbitrary number, but it’s not. At 45 degrees, my breath doesn’t feel like it freezes in my beard. At 44 degrees, I’m misery on wheels. Not cool. I stick to my comfortable routes, but don’t mind taking a lane. And I am just now considering purchasing some pannier bags to take some of the weight off my back.
Yup, your boy is all grown up. The Adventures of a New Commuter have continued and I’ll relay a few humorous anecdotes, but in the meantime...enjoy the changes to the site and start getting pumped up for the Million Mile Challenge this May. It’s going to be Bike Month soon, after all. Get pedaling!
